The Mayor and City Council have designated the DOD’s, AIDS Coordinator’s Office as the administrator of the City’s HIV/AIDS Education, Prevention and Awareness Program. Included in this authority is the responsibility to develop a comprehensive program for the delivery of HIV/AIDS prevention services to low and moderate income City residents at risk for HIV infection or at risk of transmitting HIV. Organizations selected from the RFP review process will be eligible to enter into negotiations to receive a twelve-month contract with a term of performance of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. The term of performance may be extended twice: A twelve-month contract for the period of July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020, and a twelve-month contract for the period of July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, subject to performance, the availability of funding, changes in the City’s HIV prevention strategies, and the approval of the Mayor and the City Council.
